Metron Aviation, an Airbus subsidiary, is looking to expand its ranks to support the growing need of Air Traffic Management (ATM), product development and mission analysis. Metron Aviation's long-term strategy is to support and accelerate ATM programs that will dramatically improve global airspace capacity, efficiency and environmental sustainability.

We are seeking an Intern to help support various projects. Metron Aviation is a collaborative environment that fosters advanced research, concept exploration, product development and support and interaction with the nation's leading aviation subject matter experts.  



  • Hack and code software according to requirements and project deadlines in an Agile development atmosphere
  • Learn new technologies and apply as appropriate to the design and development of software projects 
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal clients regarding project goals/status, project support, and technology capabilities 
  • Develop aviation domain experience to help implement and test new concepts on projects.   



  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline
  • Experience with basic Java, SQL, Shell scripting a plus
  • Experience with UI/Web development a plus (JavaScript and various JavaScript frameworks/libraries
  • Experience with Linux and basic command lines
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident 
  • Candidate must be able to pass a background investigation and to obtain a Position of Public Trust designation 


This is a paid internship position. Internship begins on 05/18/2020 through 08/21/20.
