Metron Aviation, an Airbus subsidiary, is looking to expand its ranks to support the growing need of Air Traffic Management (ATM), product development and mission analysis. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be part of a dynamic team.   • Develop and maintain the Harmony SE data model
  • Design and develop systems architecture solutions to fulfill strategic goals and customer requirements
  • Manage external interface definitions for Harmony integrations
  • Analyze ATFM and airline domain data in conjunction with Harmony derived data to troubleshoot system issues and support algorithm development
  • Develop and maintain Harmony adaptation data
  • Provide technical support to the Sales/BD team including advance customer analysis, ROI determination, and technical proposal writing
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap traceability to product specifications
  • Develop and maintain product specification to contract requirement traceability
  • Support the development team test activities regarding requirements interpretations and test reviews
  • Develop and present technical presentations and deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers and at trade shows



  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or related discipline
  • 8+ years' experience including systems engineering, data modeling, data analysis, or research in the air transportation domain
  • Experience with the following preferred:
    • System requirements development
    • Requirements management
    • UML Data Modeling
    • Algorithm development
    • Statistical data analysis
    • XML (basic understanding of schemas and XML documents)
  • Experience with the following air transportation domains and functions preferred:
    • Air Traffic Flow Management
    • Flight plan filing, processing, and route conversion
    • Trajectory modeling
    • Surface surveillance
  • Excellent presentation development and delivery
  • Excellent technical documentation development
  • Willing to learn application(s) and perform detailed data analysis
  • Experience with COTS and self-written analysis scripting capabilities (e.g., Matlab, Perl)
  • Experience with software development languages (Java and Javascript) is a plus
  • Able to work independently and productively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • International travel in support of Sales and project systems engineering
