Metron Aviation is looking to expand its ranks to support the growing need of Air Traffic Management (ATM) research, product development and mission analysis. Strengthened by the Airbus acquisition, Metron Aviation's long-term strategy is to support and accelerate ATM programs that will dramatically improve global air transportation capacity, efficiency and environmental sustainability.


Metron Aviation is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to provide day-to-day program management, personnel management, and business capture for a significant ATFM implementation program. This position requires close coordination with the Program Manager for the execution of the project plan.  Metron Aviation is a collaborative environment that fosters advanced research, concept exploration, product development and interaction with the nation's leading aviation subject matter experts.   • Provide necessary support to the Program Manager for the execution of the contract within baselined budget
  • Perform duties under the guidance of the Program Manager, including monitoring and management of project plan, budgeting, staffing, and schedule
  • Provide support for building and fostering successful working relationship with the customer and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate and coordinate internal resources for the delivery of project deliverables
  • Management and technical leadership, project management, subject matter expertise and subcontract resources to meet program milestones
  • Management of simulation environments needed to support analysis and analytical work
  • Interface with customers to support program management and deliverables
  • Provide support for proposal management for business capture opportunities
  • Develop/maintain program schedules, support monthly program reviews and serve as the primary point of contact to the customer for areas of responsibility to include:
    • Provide the necessary management, engineering, skills and services to comply fully with the requirements of the contract
    • Plan, administer and control financial, technical, quality, and schedule milestones and objectives
    • Plan, manage, and support the needs of the overall Program through the Period of Performance;
    • Implement procedures and processes for effective data, software, and document management
  • Development and management of operational procedures




  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
    • IT environments, Consolidation of data centers, facilities, lifecycle costing/estimating, Airspace Design, Airport Surface management, or Air Traffic Flow Management
  • Strong Analytical and Communications Skills required
  • Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills required
  • Able to work independently and productively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident




  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly desired
  • Experience in working and supporting FAA programs preferred
  • Spoken and written fluency in the Spanish Language is desired
  • Experience managing FAA concept engineering, development, testing and/or delivery programs preferred
