We are seeking a Senior Associate Test Engineer to be part of a dynamic team. Job Description

Support FAA Programs in the area of Integration and Test. Support will include test experience for system integration and formal testing and proven System Engineering skills (SW, CAS and HW). Provide general support for System Integration and Test activities in relation to testing the interconnectivity and functionality of the FAA external interfaces into existing and proposed Air Traffic Control Systems. Support will also include knowledge of FAA interfacing systems and the development of test procedures.


Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years' experience, or MS or equivalent with 1-4 years relevant experience preferred
  • SQL, Scripting, and MATLAB experience preferred
  • Experience with manual test plan / test case creation and execution
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with databases and SQL with ability to query and analyze results
  • Proven ability to analyze requirements and system documentation
  • Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Good Problem Determination skills and ability to solve engineering issues in complex systems
  • Ability to provide Data Reduction & Analysis for the test/lab activities
  • Ability to interact with other team members and work independently
  • Must be able to prioritize and juggle multiple assignments
  • Candidate must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust designation


Desired Skills

  • Previous experience with FAA systems preferred
  • Familiarity with any of the following FAA programs:  ERAM, TBFM, TMA, Data Comm and ATOP
  • Understanding of the FAA Air Traffic Systems and the FAA approach for their maintenance and deployment
  • Knowledge of EnRoute Flight Data messaging and basic familiarity of EnRoute and Tower Air Traffic Controller user interfaces
  • Knowledge of the FAA tools required for test setup, execution and analysis including end to end system input to output and behavior analysis
  • Ability to define scenario inputs to test system function and requirements accounting for how adaptation affects the system implementation and analysis
